No-one could have predicted the outcome of the penultimate round of the Continental Tyres Australian Superboat Championships, even the bookies would have done their dough on this one - it was incredible. With just one round of the championship remaining [Hi-Tec Oils Park Temora, October 30-31], just five points separate the top five in the International Group A class, and a similar margin separates Daryl Hutton and reigning world and Australian Group A champion Slade Stanley in the Unlimited class.
