Group A - The Battleground of Skill & Strategy
Also known as the 400-Class, this internationally recognised UIM category is one of the most fiercely contested in V8 Superboats. Boats are powered by 413ci cast-iron V8 engines, traditionally running carburettors and cast-iron heads, though 2023 rules now allow alloy heads and methanol injection. The result? A thumping 700+ horsepower on tap.
With tight engine and hull regulations, Group A levels the playing field and puts the spotlight squarely on the driver–navigator pairing. Races are often decided by fractions of a second, making this class the ultimate test of precision, teamwork, and consistency.
